A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    Geniet er nu van of bewaar hem een paar jaar in een kelder. Decanteren voor het serveren is niet nodig.

    Dit is een levendige, lichtroze wijn met kopertinten, in een prachtige fles zonder etiket die de Côte d'Azur uitademt. Hij barst van de uitnodigende geuren van pittige grapefruit, witte perzikhuid, wilde frambozen en steranijs. Het is een sterrenmix van Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah en Rolle, geoogst uit de hele Provence, met de verschillende facetten van de vele zonovergoten wijngaarden in de regio.

    Ultimate Provence is een echt hedendaags Provence wijnhuis, met wijngaarden rondom de stad La Garde Freinet in de Var regio. Het ontwerp en de ontwikkeling van hun landgoed (dat op zichzelf al een prachtige vakantiebestemming is) werd toevertrouwd aan Humbert en Poyet, een architectenbureau uit Monaco.

    In de mond van deze rosé vind je frisse smaken van rode bessen: aardbei en framboos vermengen zich met grapefruitrasp. Je ontdekt ook warme hints van kaneel en gember, met een vleugje mineraliteit en een verfrissende, droge afdronk. Qua mondgevoel is hij rond en rijk, met een ader van scherpe zuren. Eigentijds en stijlvol, dit is een veelzijdige Provençaalse rosé, perfect om te combineren met mediterrane salades, gegrilde witte vis en lichte voorgerechten.
    Toevoegen om te vergelijken
