Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Het Chateau Favori ligt in een klein dorpje op 200 m boven de zeespiegel, in het hart van de Coteaux Varois appellatie in de Provence.

    Dankzij de gunstige ligging (vandaar de bijnaam van de plaats "Favori"), genieten de wijngaarden van klei-kalkachtige bodems die de beworteling van de wijnstok bevorderen zodat deze diep de mineralen kan opnemen die hij nodig heeft en de aanwezigheid van aquifers die de wijngaard op natuurlijke wijze voeden. De koele nachten houden de warme en zonnige dagen in evenwicht, wat optimale klimatologische omstandigheden voor de rijping van de druiven bevordert.

    Sinds 2017 heeft het bedrijf met de hulp van adviseurs Claude en Lydia Bourguignon een beslissende wending genomen in de richting van ecologische landbouw. De Favori Mediterranée is een levendige blend van Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah en Merlot.

    Deze prachtige rosé uit de Provence vertoont een typische zachtroze kleur, frisse aroma's van wit fruit en wat bloementonen. De frisheid keert terug in de mond met een lichte zilte toets. In de mond is de wijn fruitig en verfrissend met een lange en delicate afdronk van witte bloemen. Hij gaat heel goed samen met vleeswaren en verse kazen, zeevruchten en natuurlijk tomatentatin. Het is beslist de perfecte wijn voor een warme zomeravond!
