    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Dit is een krachtige rode blend met 45% Grenache en kleinere hoeveelheden Carignan, Syrah en Cabernet Sauvignon. De wijn is dieppaars in het glas en heeft een sterke neus van rijk rood fruit, kruiden, sigarenrook, versgebakken brood en gedroogde kruiden.

    Clos Mogador werd opgericht in 1979 en was aanwezig tijdens de opleving van Priorat in de jaren tachtig. De huidige wijnmaker, René Barbier, is de laatste wijnmaker in een gewaardeerde familie van wijnboeren die een belangrijke rol hebben gespeeld in de opleving van Priorat. Clos Mogador is een wijngaard van 20 hectare, ligt op 350 meter boven zeeniveau en valt vooral op door de rijke leisteenbodem.

    Clos Mogador zit boordevol uitgebalanceerd eikenhout, ronde, stevige tannines en hoge zuren. Dit is een wijn met veel karakter - intens, maar toch zacht en fluweelachtig. Je detecteert tonen van zure zwarte kersen, bloedsinaasappel, pruimen en garrigue, met een onderstroom van bakkruiden. De wijn rijpte 18 maanden voordat hij werd gebotteld, in Frans eiken. Hij heeft een lange afdronk, met rijke, bloederige hints van ijzer en mineraliteit. Clos Mogador is een uitstekende partner voor Catalaanse fuet, gebraden kip of verschillende vlezige tapas.
    Toevoegen om te vergelijken
    Robert Parker zei ooit over Clos Mogador dat de wijnen "verbluffende voorbeelden zijn van wat Spanje kan produceren, maar zo zelden doet". Mogador heeft niet alleen concentratie en complexiteit, maar ook energie, vitaliteit en een echte ziel. De wijn heeft een ondoorzichtige zwartpaarse kleur en een intens, complex bouquet van rijp fruit, wilde kruiden, geroosterd brood, specerijen en rook. Het gehemelte is massief en goed in balans met een vette rijkdom, een dichte structuur van fluweelzachte tannines en een krachtige, levendige zuurgraad. Aroma's van gekristalliseerd fruit, peper, chocolade, koffie en een heel scala aan specerijen en kruiden. Op de lange afdronk zijn er de unieke minerale tonen die Priorat zo speciaal maken.
