Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Dit is een weelderige rode wijn, emblematisch voor Barcelona en de regio Catalonië als geheel. Het is een blend van 60% Garnacha en 40% Carignan, beide geoogst van een perceel van 5 hectare in het wijngebied Priorat. Hij begint met gezonde geuren van donkere bessen en pruimen, naast kruiden, ijzer en verse inkt.

    Planetes de Nin is een geweldige optie voor wie op zoek is naar enkele van Spanje's over het hoofd geziene appellations. Priorat wordt vaak overschaduwd door Rioja, maar het is echt een uitstekende rode wijnstreek, waar wijnmakers Carles Ortiz en Esther Nin hun thuisbasis hebben. De naam van de wijn komt rechtstreeks van het stuk land waar de wijnstokken groeien, Finca les Planetes, 350-450 meter boven zeeniveau.

    Planetes de Nin is zowel fris als vol in de mond. Tonen van pruimen en bramen komen naar voren, ondersteund door een goede mineraliteit. De tannines zijn fijn en gepolijst, passend bij de uitstekende zuurgraad van de wijn. De druiven zijn geoogst van wijnstokken die tussen de 10 en 20 jaar oud zijn en op schistbodems groeien. Een ideale wijn om te combineren met groentestoofpotjes, lamsvlees of chorizo. De wijn rijpte 17 maanden in Frans eiken voor hij werd gebotteld.
