Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Feudo Croci werd opgericht in 2001 toen Gian Andrea Tinazzi Salento bezocht en het uitzonderlijke potentieel van de plaatselijke wijngaarden herkende. Enkele maanden later kocht de familie 20 hectare land rond een prachtige boerderij in Carosino. Het landgoed is beplant met inheemse rassen als Primitivo, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera en Malvasia Bianca, die goed zijn aangepast aan de droge, zonnige omstandigheden.

    Imperio Primitivo di Manduria LXXIV is het vlaggenschip van Feudo Croci en werd zowel voor het oogstjaar 2014 als voor het oogstjaar 2015 opgenomen in de Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines. De wijn is gemaakt van de klassieke Primitivo di Manduria druif uit Puglia, die groeit in de wijngaarden van de familie Tinazzi in Carosino.

    Eenmaal in de wijnmakerij worden de druiven gekneusd en ontsteeld voordat ze 10-15 dagen macereren en gisten. De jonge wijn wordt dan overgebracht naar grote Franse eikenhouten vaten voor 8-12 maanden rijping. Het resultaat is een rijke, volle rode wijn met veel kruidige tonen van donker fruit en hints van chocolade, zoete drop en kruiden uit een sigarenkistje. Een geweldige wijn om te combineren met stevige rode vleesgerechten zoals verse pasta geserveerd met een rijke runderragus of gebraden hertenvlees.
