Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Primitivio gedijt goed in de hete, droge omstandigheden van de zuidelijke Salento regio van Italië en is de vlaggenschipdruif van de meeste boetiekwijnhuizen in de regio, zoals Attanasio in Manduria. Het landgoed werd in 2000 opgericht door Giuseppe Attanasio, wiens betrokkenheid bij de wijnbouw meer dan zes decennia teruggaat. Tegenwoordig bewerkt hij 8 hectare eersteklas wijngaarden en produceert in totaal slechts 15.000 flessen per jaar vanwege het strenge klimaat en de kleine opbrengsten van zijn struiken.

    Attanasio oogst al zijn druiven met de hand om ervoor te zorgen dat ze in uitstekende conditie bij de wijnmakerij aankomen en de wijnen rijpen in zijn kelders onder het 19e eeuwse paleis van het landgoed. Zijn Dolce Naturale is een zoete dessertwijn van de Primitivo druif, gemaakt van 40 jaar oude wijnstokken en 12 maanden gerijpt op eikenhout. Attanasio produceert slechts 2000 flessen per jaar van deze karakteristieke wijn, die prachtig combineert met chocolade, fruitige desserts en harde kazen. De eerste slok onthult een zijdezachte en romige textuur met veel zoetheid en rijke donkere pruimen- en kersensmaken die lang op de tong blijven hangen.
