overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now

Ferrari werd in 1902 opgericht door de visionaire wijnmaker Giulio Ferrari, die in Frankrijk studeerde voordat hij terugkeerde naar zijn geboorteland Trentino en hier als eerste Chardonnay aanplantte. Ferrari was er zeker van dat hij met de combinatie van het uitzonderlijke terroir van Trentino en de majestueuze Chardonnay druif mousserende wijnen van topkwaliteit kon maken. Hij koos voor de traditionele methode die in de Champagne wordt gebruikt en kreeg al snel erkenning en prijzen die van Ferrari de beroemdste mousserende wijn van Italië zouden maken.

Niet zelf directe erfgenamen had, gaf Ferrari het landgoed door aan zijn goede vriend Bruno Lunelli en tegenwoordig is het wijnhuis in de bekwame handen van de derde generatie Lunellis. Hun Ferrari Perle wordt gemaakt van landgoedwijngaarden die geplant zijn op een hoogte van 1000-2000 voet, op het zuidoosten of zuidwesten voor maximale blootstelling aan zonlicht.

De druiven worden met de hand geoogst en de most wordt gefermenteerd in tanks. De tweede gisting vindt plaats in de fles en de wijn rijpt 48-53 maanden op de droesem. Een klein beetje suiker wordt toegevoegd wanneer de wijn wordt gedegorgeerd om een heel subtiel vleugje zoetheid toe te voegen. Het resultaat is een levendige, verfrissende mousserende wijn met ruime aroma's van groene appels, peren, brioche en zoete amandelen.
