Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Nk'Mip Cellars, gelegen aan de zuidkant van het Osoyoos Indianenreservaat in de Okanagan Valley, is het allereerste wijnhuis van Ingenous in Noord-Amerika. In de plaatselijke taal van de Okanagan betekent de naam van het wijnhuis "bottomland", verwijzend naar de geografische ligging. Het terroir hier is ideaal voor het maken van rode wijnen van topkwaliteit dankzij de droge woestijnomstandigheden en zonnige zomerdagen die de druiven helpen hun volle rijpheid te bereiken.

    Hun paradepaardje heet Mer'r'iym naar het plaatselijke woord voor "huwelijk", omdat de cuvee de synergie laat zien tussen Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc en Malbec. Opgezet als een grote en mooie Meritage wijn, is het fruit afkomstig van wijngaarden in South Okanagan. Eenmaal in de wijnmakerij wordt het gefermenteerd in roestvrijstalen tanks en vervolgens 18 maanden gerijpt in Franse eikenhouten vaten.

    Rijpe geplette kersen, mokka en vanille kenmerken de neus, die zich in de mond verdiept tot cassis, braam en pruim, samen met hints van winterkruiden en donkere chocolade. Deze rijke en robuuste cuvee heeft stevige tannines, een goed ontwikkelde structuur en een lange afdronk, waardoor hij ideaal is om te combineren met rundvlees stroganoff, eekhoorntjesbrood of een gebraden lamsbout.
