    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Château Teyssier is een grand cru van Saint-Émilion gesticht aan het begin van de 18e eeuw in Vignonet. Het landgoed werd in 1994 gekocht door Jonathan en Lyn Maltus, Engelsen uit het voormalige Rhodesië. Bij de aankoop bestond het landgoed uit 5 hectare wijngaarden. Vandaag de dag beslaat het landgoed ongeveer 50 hectare wijngaarden in Saint-Émilion en omgeving en produceert het 10 wijnen uit verschillende appellations, met een paar single-appellation wijnen die in zeer beperkte hoeveelheden worden gemaakt.

    Het Chateau Teyssier is een blend van 70% Merlot en 30% Cabernet Franc, gerijpt in nieuw Frans eiken, in perfecte Saint-Emilion stijl.

    De kleur is donker en dieprood met violette reflecties. Het aromatisch profiel is intens en complex met tonen van zwart bosfruit die typisch zijn voor Merlot, vooral braam, bosbes, aalbes en pruim, gevolgd door vanille en geroosterde hints. In de mond is hij zacht en sappig, rijk en rond. De tannines zijn fluweelzacht, de body is medium vol en de afdronk onthult een elegante zuurgraad die hem evenwicht en elegantie geeft. Het is de ideale wijn bij varkenshaas, een mooie zeldzame steak en gerijpte kazen zoals Parmezaanse kaas of Comté.
