    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    De geschiedenis van het landgoed Parusso gaat terug tot 1901, toen oprichter Gaspare Parusso zijn eerste perceel kocht in het gehucht Mariodino. De familie Parusso kocht later ook de charmante boerderij in Bussia, die tegenwoordig het hoofdkantoor van het wijnhuis is. In totaal hebben ze 22 hectare wijngaarden in enkele van Barolo's top crus, waaronder Mosconi, Le Coste en Mariondino.

    Deze schitterende Barolo wordt gemaakt met topkwaliteit fruit van Parusso's Rocche en Munie wijngaarden in de befaamde Bussia cru. De wijnstokken die hier zijn aangeplant hebben een typische leeftijd van 15-50 jaar en zijn geplant op ongeveer 300 meter boven zeeniveau op zandsteen en kalkhoudende bodems. De druiven worden met de hand geoogst voor een maximale kwaliteit en vervolgens gefermenteerd met behulp van wilde gisten die van nature in de wijngaard en op de druivenschillen voorkomen. De jonge wijn wordt vervolgens 18 maanden in kleine eikenhouten vaten bewaard, gevolgd door 6 maanden rijping in de fles.

    Het resultaat is een krachtige en zeer rijpe Barolo, die nog een tiental jaren kan rijpen. De neus wordt gekenmerkt door krachtige rode fruitsmaken van pruimen, zure kersen en rode bessen, terwijl in de mond diepere tonen van leer, gebakken aarde en specerijen naar voren komen. Probeer te combineren met stevige rode vleesgerechten zoals een ribeye steak, hertenvlees of wildstoofpotten om het intense smaakprofiel te evenaren.
