    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Purple Angel betekent dat Montes een wereldwijde status heeft bereikt. Hij werd voor het eerst uitgebracht in 2005 en zijn populariteit zette dit 100% Chileense merk op de internationale kaart. Hij is zowel gedurfd als benaderbaar, nu klaar en te verouderen. Purple Angel is samengesteld uit 92% Carmenere, 8% Petit Verdot van de Finca de Apalta en El Arcángel de Marchigüe landgoedwijngaarden in de Colchagua Vallei. De bodem is van granietachtige oorsprong, varieert in textuur en valt op door de aanwezigheid van verschillende soorten fluviatiele en glaciale stenen.

    Deze medium volle wijn toont rijk paars in het glas met granaatkleurige reflecties. Hij is volumineus in de mond en bevat gemiddelde tannines en een grote structuur. De fruitige aroma's zijn eerst mollig - bramen en bosbessen - dan dicht en geconcentreerd - gedroogde pruimen, kersenconserven en zwarte bessensnoepjes. 18 maanden in Frankrijk leveren toasty noten, nootjes en zoete specerijen op. Het gehemelte volgt de aroma's van donker fruit voordat leer, cacao en balsamico naar voren komen. Combineer deze wijn met gevogelte of alles wat met varkensvet te maken heeft - lardo, vleeswaren, ribbetjes, enz. Hij zou het ook goed doen bij oude kaas, romige risotto of carbonara.
