Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    Jansz wijnhuis is opgericht in 1986, in de winderige noordoosthoek van Tasmanië. Het wijnhuis legt zich toe op het maken van luxueuze mousserende wijnen, geïnspireerd op de Franse traditie, maar bepaald door het prachtige Tasmaanse terroir. Het wijnhuis is sinds 1998 eigendom van Hill-Smith Family Vineyards en staat momenteel onder leiding van hoofdwijnbouwer Jennifer Doyle.

    De wijngaarden van Jansz ondersteunen 15 hectare Chardonnay, 12 hectare Pinot Noir en 3 hectare Pinot Meunier - verhoudingen die min of meer overeenkomen met een typische Jansz blend. De druiven voor deze Premium Cuvée zijn afkomstig van speciaal geselecteerde percelen verspreid over Tasmanië en van verschillende wijnjaren. Het is een perfecte combinatie, met als resultaat de beste mousserende wijn die Australië te bieden heeft.

    Een boeket van honing, citrusschil en geroosterde noten stijgt op uit de hals van deze fles. Rijpe aardbeien vallen ook meteen op, wat een fruitig element aan de neus geeft. Deze Premium Cuvée wordt geschonken met een fijn perlage, is verrukkelijk in de mond en het proeven waard. De smaken worden gedreven door groene appel, peer en citroen, ondersteund door een romige brioche achtergrond. De afdronk is geconcentreerd, met een droge mond. De Premium Cuvée is het perfecte gezelschap voor met citroen overgoten oesters, artisjokken, asperges of een schotel met zeevruchten.
