    Het domaine Geantet-Pansiot, opgericht in 1954 na het huwelijk van Edmond Geantet en Bernadette Pansiot, is een familiebedrijf in Bourgondië, Frankrijk. Aanvankelijk besloeg het domein 3 hectare wijngaarden, voornamelijk verdeeld in Gevrey-Chambertin, terwijl het vandaag de dag 13 hectare is geworden en zich ook uitstrekt naar de prestigieuze benamingen Clos Vougeot, Marsannay, Charmes Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny en Bourgogne. Het domein wordt nu geleid door Vincent en zijn zoon Fabien, zoon en kleinzoon van de oprichters, die de familietraditie voortzetten met passie en respect voor hun geweldige terroir.

    De Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes van het domein Geantet-Pansiot is een 100% Pinot Noir, geproduceerd met uitsluitend inheemse gisten en 14 maanden gerijpt in eikenhouten vaten (waarvan 30% nieuw).

    De wijn heeft een helderrode kleur. Het aromaprofiel onthult hints van bessen en viooltjes. In de mond is hij sappig en geconcentreerd met fluweelzachte tannines en een zeer evenwichtige frisheid. De afdronk is lang en aangenaam met delicate kruidige tonen. Het is een wijn met een uitzonderlijk rijpingsvermogen, maar hij kan ook nu gedronken worden bij wild, gans en gebraden fazant.
