Ingewikkeld bestelproces. In jullie lijst met landen staat Tsjechië niet vermeld. De bestelling is naar Montenegro verzonden. Terwijl ik toch ‘CR’ in het veld had ingevuld. ?!

Ik vind de beoordelingen van wijnen erg handig; ze helpen enorm bij het kiezen van een wijn! Bij mijn laatste aankoop van meer dan 400 euro raakte ik in de war door de wijn- en verzendkosten in mijn winkelmandje: de wijnprijs werd zonder btw weergegeven, maar er stonden wel verzendkosten bij die niet nul waren, zoals beloofd. Bij het afrekenen leek het ineens anders: er waren geen verzendkosten, maar wel btw. Een beetje misleidend.

Ontstaan door wijnmaker David Clouston, is Two Rivers Winery gevestigd in de Marlborough regio. Het bedrijf, dat in 2020 begon met het BioGro NZ biologische omschakelingsproces, betrekt zijn druiven (geteeld zonder gebruik van synthetische chemische meststoffen, pesticiden of herbiciden) van de dichtbegroeide Brookby Hill Vineyard en andere belangrijke locaties in de gerenommeerde Wairau en Awatere Valleys van Marlborough.

Deze frisse en levendige roséwijn wordt gemaakt van een blend van Pinot Noir, Syrah en Viognier druiven van vijf wijngaarden in de zuidelijke valleien. De gisting vindt plaats in tanks en de afgewerkte wijn rust 3 maanden op zijn gisten. De naam Isle of Beauty is een eerbetoon aan het Franse eiland Corsica, waar oprichter David Clouston 3 jaar heeft doorgebracht.

De Two Rivers Isle of Beauty Rose is een uitstekende rosé wijn met een bleke en briljante kleur. Het aromaprofiel is levendig en heerlijk fruitig met tonen van watermeloen en steenfruit, dadelpruimen, aardbei en een licht kruidige finale. In de mond is hij fris en sappig, perfect in balans en met een droge en aanhoudende afdronk. Het is de ideale wijn voor een zomeravond: uitstekend als aperitief of bij zeevruchten, rijke salades en vegetarische recepten. Serveer hem goed gekoeld!
