Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Abekroond als een van de “Meest invloedrijke vrouwelijke wijnmakers” door The Drink Business magazine in 2012, was Susana Balbo de eerste Argentijnse vrouw die afstudeerde in enologie. Na bijna twintig jaar gewerkt te hebben voor wijnhuizen als Michel Torino, Martins en Catena Zapata richtte ze in 1999 haar eigen bedrijf op in het hart van Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Haar bedrijf, waar ze nu wordt bijgestaan door haar kinderen José en Ana, wordt gekenmerkt door een jonge en dynamische stijl en een filosofie gericht op constante innovatie.

    Dit is een Bordeaux blend met overwegend Cabernet Sauvignon. De druiven komen van de Agrelo wijngaard die de kelder omringt en die Susana Balbo zelf in 2001 heeft aangeplant. De wijn rijpt 15 maanden in Franse eiken vaten.

    Brioso is een soepele en ronde rode wijn met krachtige maar zijdezachte tannines en een heerlijke concentratie van rijp zwart fruit, vijgen, pure chocolade, geroosterd brood en een licht kruidige toets. Het is een wijn met een goede consistentie maar niet zwaar, met uitstekende zuren en frisheid. Perfect bij gebraden lamsvlees, pappardelle met vleessaus en polenta met truffels.
