    Klet Brda is een Sloveense wijncoöperatie in de wijnstreek Goriška Brda. Het bedrijf, dat al sinds het einde van de jaren 1950 actief is, produceert een breed scala aan witte en rode wijnen die zeer worden gewaardeerd door zowel het publiek als critici.

    De Merlot en Cabernet Franc druiven worden met de hand geoogst van wijngaarden tussen 80 en 250 meter boven zeeniveau, beplant met wijnstokken tussen de 10 en 30 jaar oud. De verwerking van de druiven vindt apart plaats, net als de gisting. De wijnen rusten vervolgens 24 maanden apart voordat ze worden gemengd en de uiteindelijke blend wordt verder verfijnd in roestvrij staal.

    Klet Brda De Baguer Merlot - Cabernet Franc toont een schitterende kleur met robijnrode tinten en violette reflecties. In de neus voel je de fruitige intensiteit van Merlot met aroma's van bramen en pruimen, moerbei en ander rood fruit, gevolgd door zachte kruidige en peperige tonen die typisch zijn voor Cabernet Franc. In de mond is hij zacht en rond, fluweelzacht en elegant. De afdronk is lang en herinnert aan kruidige en koffietonen. Perfect bij rundvleesfilet geserveerd met champignons of een groene pepersaus.
