    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Deze rode wijn is een blend van 80% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon en 10% Merlot. Hij opent met een gulle neus van rijpe kersen, frambozen, groene kruiden, zoethout en mineraliteit. Het fruit is afkomstig van kalkrijke bodems in Ribera del Duero, wat de wijn een zekere elegantie geeft.

    Het wijnhuis zelf ligt tussen de steden Pesquera en Valbuena de Duero. Het beslaat 167 hectare van deze gewaardeerde Spaanse regio. Hacienda Monasterio werd in de jaren 1990 opgericht door Peter Sisseck, een Deense wijnmaker, die twee jaar later werd vergezeld door de lokale wijnmaker Carlos de la Fuentes. Samen hebben ze van Hacienda Monasterio een van de krachtpatsers van Noord-Spanje gemaakt op het gebied van Tempranillo.

    De blend van dit domein is helder robijnrood in het glas en zuiver en levendig op de tong. Let op tonen van framboos, zure kers, zoethout en bakkruid, allemaal gekoppeld aan de klassieke rokerigheid van Tempranillo. Hij bevat zijdezachte, fijnkorrelige tannines en een levendige zuurgraad. De moeite waard om enige tijd in de kelder te bewaren. Let bij de lange afdronk op hints van mineraliteit en een heerlijk zachte textuur. Combineer deze wijn met een vleesplankje, gerookte kaas of rood vlees.
