Deze prachtige Reserva Especial van Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro is gemaakt van druiven die zorgvuldig zijn geselecteerd uit de oude wijngaarden van het landgoed. Deze edele Tinta del Pais en Albilla wijnstokken werden meer dan een eeuw geleden geplant in deze charmante hoek van Ribera del Duero. Geplant op kalk- en kleigrond en gezegend met overvloedige zonneschijn en koele nachten, zelfs tijdens de zomer, produceren deze wijnstokken kleine hoeveelheden van deze ongelooflijk geconcentreerde Reserva Especial.

Het domein staat erop om alle druiven voor deze wijn met de hand te oogsten, zodat ze in optimale conditie de wijnmakerij bereiken. De wijnen ondergaan vervolgens fermentatie in vaten gevolgd door een rijping van 24 maanden in nieuwe Franse eiken vaten om extra lagen complexiteit toe te voegen en een zacht en goed afgerond karakter te creëren.

In de neus straalt deze prachtige Reserva Especial verleidelijke tonen uit van leer, pure chocolade en donkere pruimenjam die in de mond worden vergezeld door rijpe rode bessen, zoete specerijen en hints van geroosterde noten. De volle en ongelooflijk zachte smaak van deze rode wijn maakt hem een uitstekende partner voor rijke stoofschotels met vlees, harde kazen of aardse wildgerechten.
