    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Gelegen in La Morra, in de provincie Cuneo, is het wijnhuis Giovanni Corino een familiebedrijf, vooral bekend om zijn elegante Barolo wijnen. Het landgoed strekt zich uit over ongeveer 9 hectare wijngaarden en wordt momenteel geleid door Giuliano, Giovanni's zoon, samen met zijn vrouw en hun twee kinderen. Het bedrijf besteedt bijzondere aandacht aan het respecteren van het grondgebied en wil de wijnstokken en het terroir volledig tot uitdrukking laten komen, door de wijngaard uit te dunnen, korte fermentaties uit te voeren en de wijnen te laten rijpen in kleine Franse eiken vaten.

    De Nebbiolo druiven komen van de bedrijfswijngaarden in La Morra op klei-kalksteen bodem. Na een korte maceratie en vinificatie rijpt de wijn 8-10 maanden in stalen vaten voordat hij wordt gebotteld.

    Giovanni Corino Langhe Nebbiolo heeft een heldere kleur met robijnrode tinten en violette reflecties. Het aromatische profiel is geurig en levendig met tonen van bessen, zure kersen en viooltjes. In de mond is hij fris en uitbundig met een medium body en zijdezachte tannines. De afdronk is lang en fris. Het is een jonge wijn die meteen op dronk is en perfect past bij pasta met ragù, risotto met paddenstoelen en truffelmacaroni met kaas.
