Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Het G.D. Vajra wijnhuis werd opgericht in 1972 en ligt in de gemeente Barolo. Het is een familiebedrijf dat zich uitstrekt over ongeveer 50 hectare wijngaarden van waaruit het Piemonteese wijnen produceert die een sterke uitdrukking zijn van het grondgebied.

    De Moscato Bianco druiven voor deze heerlijke wijn komen van wijngaarden die tussen 1986 en 2007 zijn aangeplant in de gemeente Mango, in de provincie Cuneo. Hier profiteren de druiven van een uitstekende blootstelling aan het zuiden, wat een uitstekende rijping en de ontwikkeling van al het aromatische karakter van deze druivensoort garandeert.

    Moscato d'Asti G.D. Vajra is een harmonieuze en overtuigende wijn met een fris en makkelijk te drinken karakter. Hij heeft een heldere strogele kleur met wat groenige tinten. In de neus is hij intens geurig met een aantrekkelijk aromatisch profiel dat exotisch fruit en steenvruchten, witte bloemen en tonen van salie integreert. In de mond is hij delicaat en levendig, fris en aangenaam fruitig. De zoetheid is heel evenwichtig. Hij past goed bij vla en fruittaartjes en is een traditionele combinatie met panettone. Hij past ook uitstekend bij enkele lichte Aziatische gerechten en dankzij zijn lage alcoholgehalte is het een perfecte wijn voor de zondagse brunch.
