Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Domaine Roger Belland's La Fussière Premier Cru laat het uitzonderlijke terroir van het dorp Maranges zien. Deze wijn is gemaakt van 100% Pinot Noir druiven, geoogst van de steile, grasachtige hellingen van de 1,25 hectare grote La Fussière wijngaard. Hij opent met een boeket van rood fruit, met subtiele hints van paarse bloemen, kruiden en zongebakken aarde.

    Domaine Roger Belland is een familiedomein, nu in de zesde generatie. Het hoofdkantoor ligt in de appellation Santenay in Bourgondië, maar de wijngaarden beslaan alle belangrijke wijngaarden in de regio. Het domein staat bekend om zijn toewijding aan duurzame wijnbouw en traditionele wijnmaakpraktijken en wordt nu geleid door Roger en Julie, een vader en dochter duo.

    Deze Premier Cru heeft een rijke smaak: medium body met fluweelzachte tannines en levendige zuren, met aroma's van rijpe rode bessen, cassis en een vleugje leisteenmineraliteit. De afdronk is lang en elegant, met aanhoudende tonen van rijpe framboos, aarde en kruiden. De wijn is verbouwd op klei-kalksteenbodems, die bijdragen aan het uitgesproken karakter van de wijn. La Fussière past uitstekend bij geroosterde kip, lamsvlees of een bord pittige, harde kaas.
