Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Burrowing Owl's Pinot Noir is een levendige, lichte rode wijn met een gul boeket van framboos, Montmorency kers, bakkruiden en geraspte nootmuskaat. De druiven zijn geoogst van wijngaarden die eigendom zijn van het landgoed in de Oliver subregio van British Columbia, Canada, die net over de grens ligt met de staat Washington.

    Burrowing Owl Estate Winery werd in 1997 opgericht door Jim Wyse, die niet alleen een ongelooflijke reeks wijnen creëert, maar ook veel belangstelling heeft voor biodiversiteit en het behoud van bedreigde diersoorten - in het bijzonder de gravende uil van British Columbia. In de wijngaarden maakt het wijnhuis gebruik van verschillende technieken om de insectenpopulatie in toom te houden, zoals vleermuiskasjes en blauwe vogelkastjes.

    Deze wijn is gemaakt van 100% Pinot Noir en rijpte 9 maanden in Franse eiken vaten voordat hij werd vrijgegeven. Het gehemelte vertoont knisperende zuren met een zijdezacht mondgevoel. Je ontdekt lagen sappig rood fruit, frambozen, kersen en aardbeien, samen met hints van kruiden en gedroogde kruiden. Het wijnhuis ligt in een speciaal terroir - een halfdroge struiksteppe die bekend staat als "antilope brush", waar Pinot Noir goed gedijt. Overweeg om deze wijn te combineren met gebraden kip of kalkoen, licht vlees bereid in rode wijn of verschillende pittige kazen.
