Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Domaine Allimant-Laugner is ontstaan uit het huwelijk van Mariette Allimant en René Laugner in 1965, waardoor twee van de beste wijnbouwfamilies uit de Elzas bij elkaar kwamen. Het landgoed beschikt over 12 hectare eersteklas wijngaarden en wordt momenteel gerund door drie generaties van de familie Allimant-Laugner, die al minstens 11 generaties wijn maken.

    De Crémant d'Alsace Rosé van de familie is een stijl die aan populariteit wint en wordt gemaakt volgens de traditionele methode, dezelfde vinificatiemethode die voor Champagne wordt gebruikt. De Pinot Noir-druiven worden na een korte maceratie voorzichtig geperst om de mooie lichtroze kleur te verkrijgen en de most wordt dan tweemaal gefermenteerd. De tweede gisting vindt plaats in de fles en de wijn rijpt op de droesem voor meer complexiteit en body.

    Zodra je een glas inschenkt, merk je de delicate stroom van kleine belletjes en de uitnodigende aroma's van verse aardbeien, kersen en witte bloemen. De eerste slok onthult een knapperige zuurgraad, zacht bubbelschuim en tongstrelende rode bessensmaken met een zeer schone en zuivere afdronk. Het levendige karakter van deze Crémant maakt hem ideaal als aperitief of geserveerd bij pittige Aziatische gerechten of verse zeevruchten.
