Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Purchasing process and product choice are good but delivery service with UPS is miserable. I will not buy anymore unfortunately because of being delivered by UPS who never respects date/time and give false excuse of being absent when I was there and took a day off to be there.

    Ricardo en Isabel Peña maken Chileense wijnen van wereldklasse van de Viña Quebrada de Macul wijngaard, die algemeen wordt beschouwd als een van de beste percelen in de Maipo Vallei. De wijngaard ligt in de uitlopers van het Andesgebergte op uitstekende kiezelgrond. De familie houdt de opbrengst met opzet zeer laag om de kwaliteit te maximaliseren en de wijngaard wordt wijnstok voor wijnstok geoogst om ervoor te zorgen dat al het fruit bij optimale rijpheid wordt geplukt.

    Deze levendige rode wijn bestaat voornamelijk uit Cabernet Sauvignon, samen met een vleugje Petit Verdot, Merlot en Cabernet Franc, en wordt gefermenteerd met behulp van wilde gisten, waarna hij 18 maanden rijpt in Franse eiken vaten voordat hij wordt gebotteld. Na het bottelen rust de wijn nog 6 maanden voordat hij wordt vrijgegeven.

    Succulente geplette cassis, bramen en pruimen tonen barsten uit het glas, terwijl de eerste slok een royale volle body, soepele tannines en een goed afgeronde textuur onthult. Het krachtige smaakprofiel past uitstekend bij rood vlees, maar ook bij pasta's op basis van tomaten en vegetarische gerechten zoals aubergine parmigiana. Hoewel hij heerlijk is om nu te drinken, kan hij desgewenst nog minstens tien jaar worden bewaard.
