Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Dit complexe en heerlijke voorbeeld van klassieke Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is helder en fris, maar met een aanhoudende smaak die hem boven de rest doet uitsteken. Een boeket van witte perzik, kruisbes, vers gemaaid gras en een vleugje ananas wordt in de mond gevolgd door zuivere smaken van passievrucht, lychee en limoen. Een licht staalachtige en kruidige afdronk duurt veel langer dan verwacht.

    Omdat deze wijn iets meer pit, complexiteit en verve heeft dan de meeste eenvoudige Sauvignon Blanc's, kan hij goed samengaan met interessantere gerechten. Probeer eens geschroeide coquilles, pittige garnalen, Thaise viskoekjes of gegrilde zeeduivelcurry.

    David Clouston, de gerenommeerde wijnmaker en eigenaar van Two Rivers, werkte 22 jaar in het buitenland in Oregon, Chili, Corsica en de Elzas, voordat hij terugkeerde naar zijn geboorteland Nieuw-Zeeland en Two Rivers oprichtte. De Convergence Sauvignon Blanc wordt zo genoemd omdat het een prachtige 'convergentie' is van fruit uit 5 wijngaarden in de subregio's Awatere, Southern Valleys en Rapaura op het Zuidereiland. De gisting gebeurde bij koele temperaturen in roestvrij staal om het fruitkarakter te behouden, maar deze wijn heeft ook 3 maanden op de wijnmoer gelegen om textuur en complexiteit aan het gehemelte toe te voegen.
