    De Stonestreet Estate is een van de meest interessante wijnhuizen in Californië, waar hooggelegen wijnen worden gemaakt op basis van Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay en Sauvignon Blanc. Het bedrijf, eigendom van de familie Jackson, wordt geleid door Christopher en Ariel die veel zorg besteden aan hun 5500 hectare, in het Mayacama gebergte in de Alexander Valley. De hoogte van de wijngaarden (tussen 400 voet en 2.400 voet), de verschillende microklimaten en de geologische diversiteit van de berg stellen dit bedrijf in staat om wijnen te produceren die gekenmerkt worden door een grote mineraliteit en een fantastische smaakconcentratie.

    In deze wijn worden zeer kleine hoeveelheden Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot en Cabernet Franc toegevoegd aan de Cabernet Sauvignon druiven. Zoals voor alle Estate wijnen worden de druiven geselecteerd in de beste wijngaarden van dit bergdomein, afhankelijk van het oogstjaar, om dit terroir zo goed mogelijk tot uitdrukking te brengen.

    Stonestreet Estate Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is een dieprode wijn met in de neus sterke aroma's van wilde bessen in jam, met wat lichte aardse en vanilletonen. In de mond is de smaak geconcentreerd en gebalanceerd door een goede tannische ruggengraat. Het is een elegante en gestructureerde Cabernet Sauvignon die perfect past bij gestoofd rood vlees of wild.
