    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Het familiebedrijf Siro Pacenti werd opgericht in 1970 en is sinds 1988 actief met zijn label. Vandaag de dag wordt het geleid door de zoon van Siro, Giancarlo Pacenti, die ongeveer 60 hectare grond bewerkt, waarvan ongeveer 22 hectare wijngaarden. De wijngaarden, verdeeld over 7 percelen, liggen op twee tegenover elkaar liggende hellingen.

    Brunello di Montalcino Pelagrilli van Siro Pacenti is een evenwichtige en elegante wijn. De Sangiovese Grosso druiven, geteeld volgens duurzame landbouw, zijn geselecteerd uit wijngaarden tussen de 25 en 35 jaar oud, gelegen aan de noordkant van de Montalcino denominatie. Na de gisting rust de afgewerkte wijn 24 maanden in Franse eiken barriques en vervolgens in de fles.

    De wijn heeft een intense en briljante robijnrode kleur, met lichte nuances die neigen naar granaat. In de neus onthult hij een intens, breed en complex aromatisch profiel, met tonen van kreupelhout en rode bessen, sappige kersen en viooltjes, gevolgd door hints van geurige kruiden, tabak en leer. In de mond is hij vol en zacht met behoud van een goede zuurgraad die voor frisheid zorgt en de smaak in evenwicht brengt. De tannines zijn stevig en goed geïntegreerd. Hij heeft een evenwichtige structuur en een hartige afdronk. Het is de ideale wijn om te combineren met rood vlees of wildstoofpotten.
