Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Ruggeri wordt beschouwd als een van de vijf oorspronkelijke Prosecco producenten, die nauw samenwerkt met 110 langdurige partner-telers die kleine wijngaarden bezitten in de hele regio. Hoewel het wijnhuis eerst in Santo Stefano was gevestigd, verhuisde het later naar Valdobbiadene, dat tegenwoordig wereldwijd bekend staat om zijn uitzonderlijke mousserende wijnen. Ruggeri is feitelijk de enige Prosecco producent die de prestigieuze Gambero Rosso "ster" onderscheiding heeft, een prestigieuze onderscheiding die wordt gegeven aan wijnhuizen met 10 of meer Tre Bicchieri onderscheidingen.

    Om de kwaliteit te maximaliseren worden alle druiven met de hand geoogst en zorgvuldig in kleine kratten naar de wijnmakerij vervoerd. Het fruit wordt vervolgens gevinifieerd in roestvrijstalen tanks volgens de Charmat-methode, die traditioneel wordt gebruikt om Prosecco te maken, en laat het rijpen op de droesem om het te polijsten en extra complexiteit toe te voegen.

    In de neus domineren geurende amandelbloesem, bloemenhoning en witte perziken, terwijl de eerste slok een delicate mousse, soepele textuur en delicate citrus- en boomgaardfruitaroma's onthult. De afdronk is zuiver en elegant met een watertandende frisheid die het gehemelte zachtjes reinigt. Een geweldige wijn om te serveren als chic aperitief of als partner bij verse zeevruchten, sushi, bladerrijke salades of pittige Aziatische gerechten.
