    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Gelegen in Laguardia is Oxer Wines eigendom van Oxer Bastegieta, een jonge wijnmaker die oorspronkelijk uit Baskenland komt en na zijn studie enologie besloot om zich in Rioja te vestigen. Hier, in de Spaanse regio die beroemd is om zijn rode wijnen, cultiveert Oxer bijna eeuwenoude wijngaarden op biologische wijze en met regeneratieve landbouw en produceert unieke wijnen met een groot bewaarpotentieel, alom geprezen door het publiek en critici.

    Suzzane is een complexe rode wijn gemaakt van Garnacha druiven geselecteerd en met de hand geoogst van een wijngaard van ongeveer 3 hectare gelegen op 580 meter boven zeeniveau, in Rioja Alta en geplant in 1903 op kleiachtige bodems rijk aan ijzer. Na spontane gisting met inheemse gisten rust de wijn 10 maanden in grote vaten en daarna nog eens 2 maanden in beton.

    Het resultaat is een elegante en frisse rode wijn met een intens aromatisch profiel dat fruitige en bloemige tonen en wat kruidige hints onthult. In de mond heeft hij een gemiddelde body en zachte textuur met rijpe, goed geïntegreerde tannines en een goede zuurgraad. De afdronk is lang en aangenaam en doet denken aan fruitige tonen. Het is uitstekend bij rood vlees of vederwild.
