    El Terroir van Domaines Lupier is een typisch Spaanse wijn, gemaakt van 100% Garnacha. Hij is indrukwekkend fris en jeugdig, barstensvol geuren van rode kers, aardbei en aalbes, met harmonieuze hints van rozemarijn, tijm en venkel. Het fruit is afkomstig uit de regio Navarra, grenzend aan Baskenland in het noorden van Spanje.

    Domaines Lupier beslaat in totaal 27 wijngaarden die gedomineerd worden door Garnacha, en werd onlangs overgenomen door de gewaardeerde Spaanse wijnmaker Raúl Pérez, van Ultreia en Castro Ventosa. Druiven van ongeveer 12 van deze wijngaarden vormen El Terroir, geplant op klei-kalksteen bodems en met een gemiddelde leeftijd van 75 jaar, wat diepte en concentratie geeft aan elke fles.

    De wijn is intens en levendig in de mond, maar ook zeer goed gestructureerd, met een balans tussen een overvloed aan sappig fruit en droge, fluweelzachte tannines. Let op tonen van jonge, wrange pruimen en Kirsch kersenlikeur, naast kruidig kreupelhout en verfrissende hints van wilde munt. De wijn rijpte ongeveer 14 maanden in Frans eiken voor hij werd vrijgegeven. De afdronk is lang en aangrijpend. El Terroir is een uitstekende, eetvriendelijke wijn om te combineren met verschillende tapas, varkensvlees of een tomatenrijke bonenstoofpot.
