Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    De Hahn Family Merlot, gemaakt van druiven die voornamelijk groeien in de Arroyo Seco regio van Monterey County, net ten zuiden van de San Francisco Bay, is een zoete en smaakvolle wijn. Deze donkere granaatkleurige wijn heeft aroma's van zwarte kersen, cassis en cacao. Een weelderige, volle smaak met smaken van zoete specerijen, pruimen, sappige zwarte kersen en mokka. De afdronk is soepel, fluweelzacht en lang.

    Geschroeide eendenborst met zwarte kersensaus, short ribs van rundvlees of gegrilde varkenskoteletten zouden een uitstekende aanvulling zijn op het rijke mondgevoel dat deze wijn te bieden heeft.

    De familie Hahn verbouwt al sinds 1980 druiven in de Santa Lucia Highlands van Monterey County, en was al vroeg een voorstander van het vermogen van de regio om uitstekende wijndruiven te produceren waarmee wijn van wereldklasse kan worden gemaakt. De Hahn Family Merlot is een blend van 76% Merlot, 14% Petite Syrah en 10% Malbec, geteeld op goed gedraineerde leemgrond die de Merlot zijn karakteristieke intense rode fruitsmaak en diepe kleur geeft. Door rijping in 50% nieuw Frans eikenhout worden de smaken van de verschillende druivensoorten en wijngaarden waar Hahn vandaan komt in balans gebracht en gemengd.
