    Het Grant Burge wijnhuis (dat de naam van de oprichter draagt) werd in 1988 opgericht in Zuid-Australië, ligt in het hart van de Barossa Valley en maakt sinds 2014 deel uit van de Accolade Wines groep. Het bedrijf produceert een groot portfolio van verschillende wijnen, maar richt zich voornamelijk op de typische druivensoorten van de regio, Shiraz, Mourvèdre en Grenache. De wijngaarden die zich uitstrekken tot in de Barossa, op alluviale bodems, zijn voornamelijk beplant met rode rassen, terwijl die in de Eden Valley, op rotsachtige schistbodems, gewijd zijn aan witte rassen.

    De Shiraz druiven komen van de Filsell wijngaard, een van de beste in de Barossa Valley, geplant in 1920. De vruchten van deze wijngaard, met grote intensiteit en concentratie, worden apart gefermenteerd in batches. De afgewerkte wijn rijpt vervolgens 20 maanden in een combinatie van Frans en Amerikaans eikenhout.

    Filsell Shiraz is een gulle en intense wijn met een dieprode kleur en enkele paarse tinten. Het aromatische profiel is complex met tonen van donker fruit en drop, chocolade en vanille. In de mond toont de wijn een volle structuur en een uitstekende concentratie. De tannines zijn krachtig maar rijp en de afdronk is lang en licht kruidig. Hij is perfect bij filet of gestoofd rundvlees.
