    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Dit is een koninklijk paarse GSM blend, Grenache, Mourvèdre en Syrah, uit het zuidelijke deel van de Rhônevallei. Het is een volle, droge rode wijn, met alle kenmerken van de Gigondas regio - je kunt dikke geuren van braam, cassis en bosbes ontdekken, ondersteund door hints van kruiden, gedroogde kruiden en zwarte peper.

    Domaine Brusset ligt in het kloppende hart van de zuidelijke Rhônevallei, in de gemeente Cairanne. Het is al lange tijd een steunpilaar van de regio, opgericht in 1947 door André Brusset en vandaag de dag geleid door zijn kleinzoon Laurent. Hij plukt fruit van in totaal 70 hectare, met wijnstokken in gewaardeerde appellations zoals Ventoux, Rasteau en het thuis van krachtige rode wijnen, Gigondas.

    Samengesteld uit 55% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre en 20% Syrah, is deze wijn diep karmozijnrood in het glas, met een rijke, fruitige smaak. De gedeeltelijke rijping op eikenhout heeft gezorgd voor een subtiele, houtachtige omlijning en er is ook een lichte mineraliteit te ontdekken, afkomstig van de kalksteenrijke bodem. Het gehemelte wordt echter gedomineerd door hints van bosbes, braam en cassis, die uitmonden in een kruidige afdronk. Overweeg om Les Hauts de Montmirail Gigondas te combineren met fijn vlees, stoofschotels of gerijpte kaas.
