Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    Domein Delaporte is sinds de 17e eeuw van generatie op generatie doorgegeven en wordt tegenwoordig geleid door Matthieu Delaporte. Het familiedomein, gelegen in Chavignol, een charmant dorpje bekend om zijn geitenkaas, strekt zich uit over 33 hectare, met 50 verschillende percelen, waarvan de meeste op het zuiden liggen. 35% van de wijnstokken is aangeplant op vuursteengrond, en de planten worden met weinig ingrepen beheerd, met het grootste respect voor het milieu.

    Voor de productie van deze Sancerre Rose worden de Pinot Noir druiven in hun geheel geperst. De alcoholische gisting vindt gedurende 12 dagen plaats in thermoregulerende roestvrijstalen vaten bij een temperatuur van 18°C, om de fruitigheid te behouden. Daarna ligt de wijn zes maanden op de droesem om meer body te krijgen.

    De wijn heeft een prachtige lichte zalmkleur. De neus toont een heerlijke intensiteit van klein rood fruit. De rode bessen zijn ook voelbaar in een mond met sappige en bijna vlezige sensaties. Hij is fris en levendig, met een mooie middellange afdronk. Deze pure Pinot Noir gevinifieerd in rosé is een waar genoegen, gul en vlezig. Het is de perfecte zomerwijn. Geniet er goed gekoeld van op het terras, bij een barbecue of wat Aziatisch eten.
