Set between the foothills of the majestic Massif des Maures mountains and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, Chateau Saint-Maur is located just 10km from Saint-Tropez in the southernmost part of Côtes de Provence. The estate itself dates back to the 19th century and has an impressive winemaking reputation as one of just 22 estates in the whole of the Côtes de Provence to be given Cru Classé status. In 2011 the chateau was purchased by Roger Zannier who has been making wine in the Douro for over 25 years.

Working together with his son-in-law, Marc Monrose, Zannier recognised the exceptional quality of the local terroir for crafting stunning Provencal rosé and set about building a brand-new winery on the estate. Today rosé wines account for 85% of the estate’s production. Chateau Saint-Maur is fast-becoming one of the region’s most popular rosé producers thanks to their utmost care and respect for their vines and their passion for indigenous grape varieties like Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre, and Tibouren.

This stunning single vineyard rosé comes exclusively from the 12 hectare Clos de Capelune which is one of the highest vineyards in all of Provence at 449 metres above sea level. The fruit is carefully vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatics, creating a light and elegant rosé which is a great match for gastronomic treats like grilled salmon, clams, mussels, prawns and artichoke salads.
