    Drink nu tot 2028. Deze grote, gedurfde Sonoma Cabernet opent met verleidelijke cassis, zwarte kersen en geplette bramen, samen met hints van verse munt, gedroogde viooltjes en bittere chocolade. De eerste slok onthult zachte tannines, een volle body en rijpe donkere bessen, verbrande karamel en bakkruiden smaken. Het intense karakter van deze wijn maakt hem een geweldige partner voor stevige gerechten met rood vlees, zoals langzaam gegaarde ribbetjes, bourguignon of een biefstuk met friet.

    Ingeklemd tussen de Mayacamas Mountains en de Sonoma Mountain produceert wijnhuis B.R. Cohn sinds 1984 uitzonderlijke wijnen in kleine series. Het landgoed werd in 1974 gekocht door Bruce Cohn, die 45 jaar lang de manager was van de rock-n-roll supersterren de Doobie Brothers. Cohn kocht het landgoed toen hij op zoek was naar een huis voor zijn gezin, weg van de schijnwerpers.

    Nauwelijks raakte Cohn geïnteresseerd in de bestaande wijngaard van het landgoed en werd hij begeleid door Charlie Wagner van Caymus. Na succes met de verkoop van druiven aan nabijgelegen wijnhuizen besloot Cohn in 1984 zijn eigen wijnen te gaan bottelen en sindsdien heeft zijn wijnmakerij een groot aantal internationale wijnprijzen en onderscheidingen in de wacht gesleept.
