    In 1992 opgericht door het echtpaar Debbie en Randy Lewis in Napa Valley, produceert het wijnhuis van de familie Lewis jaarlijks ongeveer 9.000 kisten Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay en Sauvignon Blanc van geselecteerde wijngaarden in Napa Valley en Sonoma. Hun meest succesvolle wijnen zijn zeker die op basis van Cabernet Sauvignon, maar het bedrijf produceert ook een zeer populaire serie op basis van Chardonnay, waarvan de beroemdste de Barcaglia Lane cuvée uit de Russian River Valley is. Debbie en Randy's zoon Dennis kwam in 1999 bij het team.

    De rode druiven van het Lewis wijnhuis komen uit de Calistoga, St. Helena, Rutherford en Oak Knoll gebieden van wijnstokken met lage groeikracht onderstammen en een selectie van klonen die een bescheiden opbrengst en maximale concentratie van smaken garanderen.

    De Cabernet Sauvignon van het wijnhuis Lewis heeft een dieppaarse kleur met zeer donkere tinten. Het aromatisch profiel onthult een intens en complex bouquet met aroma's van wilde kersen, cassis, donkere chocolade en kruiden, zoethout, bramenjam en exotisch hout. In de mond is de wijn breed en krachtig, rijk en romig met stevige tannines en een fris karakter. Het is een goed gestructureerde en zeer geconcentreerde wijn die een groot verouderingspotentieel vertoont. De afdronk onthult een uitzonderlijke complexiteit en lengte, met tonen van blauwe en zwarte bessen en sporen van mineralen en koffie. Perfect bij rood vlees en wildstoofpotten.
