    Omen wijnen, van Atlas Wine Co, zijn principieel over de inkoop van hoge kwaliteit fruit van "verborgen juweeltjes" AVA wijngaarden. Ze zetten zich in voor duurzame praktijken van wijngaard tot fles (je ziet meteen de Diam Cork, het etiket van 100% gerecycled materiaal en dat de wijn veganistisch is). Alex Remy, managing partner en wijnmaker, ging met Omen wines op pad met een primair doel voor ogen: "de Amerikaanse consument dezelfde voordelen bieden die voor de Fransen vanzelfsprekend zijn, geweldige wijnen tegen een geweldige prijs."

    Deze cuveé wordt vertegenwoordigd door Pasa Robles AVA met Bellum's Vineyard (62%) diepe alluviale bodems en maritiem klimaat, en Sierra Foothills AVA (30%) van meerdere wijngaardlocaties. Aan de blend is 5% Syrah uit Shenandoah Valley en 3% Petite Syrah uit Fairplay AVA toegevoegd.

    Deze medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is gemaakt om vroeg te drinken. Hij kan nog een paar jaar bewaard worden, maar deze wijn is nu al benaderbaar en niet geschikt voor een langdurig verblijf in de kelder. Hij is fruitig en sappig, met matige eikenhoutkruiden, gemiddelde tannines en zuren. Deze Cab is veelzijdig; hij past goed bij zwaardere gerechten zoals rundvlees en lamsvlees, maar kan ook goed samengaan met vollere zeevruchten. Ook alles met tomaat, rode peper of aubergine zou een hit zijn.
