    Maximaal 5 jaar in de kelder bewaren. Brute Cohn was 45 jaar lang manager van de legendarische Amerikaanse rockband de Doobie Brothers, maar hij vond ook tijd om het wijnhuis op te zetten dat nu zijn naam draagt. Na een zoektocht naar een familiehuis, weg van de schijnwerpers, stuitte Cohn op dit landgoed, ingeklemd tussen de Mayacamas Mountains en Sonoma Mountain.

    Nauwelijks raakte Cohn geïnteresseerd in de reeds aangelegde wijngaard op het landgoed en had het geluk Charlie Wagner van Caymus als mentor te krijgen. Hij verkocht een aantal jaren druiven aan plaatselijke wijnmakerijen voordat hij in 1984 besloot zijn eigen wijnen te gaan bottelen. Het wijnhuis produceert nu een reeks kleine bottelingen en uitzonderlijke olijfolie.

    Cohn's Silver Label Pinot is gemaakt van fruit afkomstig van de koele noordkust van Californië, waar de omstandigheden ideaal zijn voor deze edele Bourgondische druivensoort. De koele omstandigheden helpen om een lichte en elegante Pinot Noir te produceren met veel rode bessentonen, zachte tannines en een zeer schone afdronk. Hij past uitstekend bij coq au vin, mediterrane groenten of pastagerechten op basis van tomaten dankzij de heldere frisheid en het rode fruitkarakter.
