    Domaine Skouras is een Grieks wijnhuis dat een reeks wijnen produceert van enkele lokale druivenrassen zoals Agiorgitiko en internationale rassen zoals Cabernet Sauvignon. Het werd opgericht in 1986 en is gevestigd op het schiereiland Peloponnesos, in het gebied Nemea.

    De Peplo High Elevation Rose is een blend van 1/3 Agiorgitiko, 1/3 Syrah en 1/3 Mavrofilero. De Agiorgitiko druiven komen van 24 jaar wijnstokken op kleigrond op 850m hoogte. De Syrah-druiven komen van 19 jaar oude wijnstokken uit Argolida op rotsachtige grond. En de Mavrofilero druiven komen van 26 jaar oude wijnstokken op zandgrond op 650m hoogte. De druiven worden apart gerijpt: de Syrah op zijn fijne droesem in roestvrijstalen tanks, de Agiorgitiko in acaciavaten, terwijl de Mavrofilero vier maanden rijpt met contact van de schillen in amfora's. De naam van de wijn komt van de stof die in de amfora wordt gebruikt om de wijn van de schillen te helpen scheiden.

    De kleur is bleek koraal. In de neus is de wijn fris en geurig met aroma's van aardbei, rozenblaadjes, oranjebloesem en citrustonen van citroen en grapefruit. In de mond zijn er minerale tonen en goede zuren. Hij is knapperig en goed gestructureerd met een gemiddelde body, en de smaken komen overeen met het aromaprofiel. Deze heerlijke rosé is een perfecte begeleider van schelpdieren, kip, kalkoen en vegetarische bereidingen zoals ratatouille of Parmezaanse aubergines.
