Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Het land Georgië staat bekend om zijn indrukwekkende wijnbouwerfgoed dat vermoedelijk al zo'n 8000 jaar oud is. Veel deskundigen geloven dat de traditionele wijnbouwpraktijken van het land vergelijkbaar zijn met die uit de oudheid, waaronder de qvevri of grote kleipotten die in de grond worden gezet en als gistingsvat worden gebruikt.

    Ontstaan door de voormalige arts en geoloog Eko Glonti is het wijnhuis Lagvinari gespecialiseerd in het maken van natuurlijke wijnen, waar mogelijk met behulp van duurzame methoden. Eko maakte zijn allereerste oogst in 2011 op 49-jarige leeftijd in samenwerking met de beroemde natuurwijnjournaliste Isabelle Legeron.

    Krakhuna is een van de klassieke witte wijnsoorten van Georgië die buiten het land weinig bekend is. Deze cuvee ontstaat door het sap gedurende 1 maand met de schillen te vergisten en de jonge wijn vervolgens 8 maanden te laten rijpen in qvevri. Het resultaat is een pittige oranje wijn met een gedurfde amberkleurige tint en verleidelijke tonen van appel, peer en honing. In de mond zijn er stevige tannines, een gemiddelde body en een lange afdronk met toetsen van gedroogde kruiden, specerijen en tabaksblad.
