    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Als telg van een familie met twee eeuwen wijnbouwtraditie in Puligny-Montrachet, richtte Alain Chavy zijn wijnhuis op in 2003, nadat hij de familiewijngaarden had gedeeld met zijn broer Jean Louis. Vandaag de dag beslaat het Domaine Alain Chavy ongeveer 10 hectare wijngaarden in de prachtige appellation Puligny, in het hart van de Bourgogne. Alain wordt nu in de wijnmakerij ondersteund door zijn zoon Corentin.

    De Chardonnay druiven worden geselecteerd van 8 verschillende percelen, gelegen in de gemeente Puligny. De oogst is handmatig en de vinificatie gebeurt met weinig interventie. De afgewerkte wijn rust voor tweederde in vaten van 228 liter en voor de rest in grotere vaten van 400 liter. Het doel is om een rijke wijn te produceren die expressief is voor het Puligny terroir.

    Puligny-Montrachet Les 8 Climats is een elegante en karaktervolle wijn die een breed en rijp aromatisch profiel onthult met tonen van gele appel, kweepeer en peer en hints van honing. In de mond is hij fris en mineraal, rijk en rond. Het is een zeer evenwichtige en expressieve wijn met een scherpe zuurgraad en een lange, verfrissende afdronk. Hij is ideaal bij sint-jakobsschelpen of geroosterde witte vis.
