    Deze grote en gedurfde Argentijnse rode wijn is het meesterlijke werk van vliegende wijnmaker Michel Rolland die mede-eigenaar is van het wijnhuis Clos de los Siete in Mendoza. Clos de los Siete ligt aan de voet van het majestueuze Andesgebergte, waar de hooggelegen wijngaarden bijdragen aan de zuiverheid van de rassen en de optimale rijpheid van de druiven.

    Michel Rolland, geboren in een wijnmakersfamilie en na een glansrijke carrière met onder meer werkervaring in veel van de beste Bordeaux-chateaux, bezocht Argentinië voor het eerst in 1988 en herkende onmiddellijk het wijnbouwpotentieel van de regio Mendoza. Rolland werkte vervolgens samen met wijlen Jean Michel Arcaute, een andere topwijnmaker uit de Bordeaux, om het Clos de los Siete-project op te zetten, waarbij topkwaliteit fruit van vier bodega's werd gecombineerd: Monteviejo, Cuvelier los Andes, DiamAndes en Bodega Rolland.

    Deze cuvee is een complexe samenstelling van Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc en Petit Verdot die harmonieus combineren tot een soepele, volle rode wijn met veel rijke tonen van donkere bessen en pruimen. Het intense en geconcentreerde smaakprofiel maakt dit een geweldige match voor rood vlees gerechten zoals steak en frites, stevige rundvlees stoofschotels of gebarbecued vlees.
