Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Deze gespierde Californische blend zal liefhebbers van grote rode wijnen zeker bevallen dankzij het pittige smaakprofiel, de royale volle body en de lange kruidige afdronk. De Culprit bestaat voornamelijk uit Syrah, Zinfandel en Petite Sirah, afkomstig van eersteklas wijngaarden op verschillende locaties in Sonoma County, maar bevat ook kleine hoeveelheden van zes andere rassen die bijdragen aan een gelaagd en complex smaakprofiel.

    Bramen, gekonfijte kersen, cassis en zoethout domineren in de neus, terwijl de eerste slok een rijke, zachte textuur, stevige tannines en intense donkere bessensmaken onthult die lang op de tong blijven hangen. De complexe smaaklagen en fruitige persoonlijkheid maken deze wijn een geweldige match met stevige gerechten met rood vlees, zoals een steak met frietjes, stoofschotels van rundvlees of verse pasta geserveerd met een rijke ragu-saus. Hij kan ook nog een paar jaar worden bewaard, zodat hij zich verder kan ontwikkelen.

    The Culprit is een wijnhuis in Sonoma dat gespecialiseerd is in het maken van gemakkelijk drinkbare wijnen met veel rijp fruit. Ze halen fruit uit het hele district om de verscheidenheid en complexiteit van Sonoma's terroir in elke fles te vangen.
