    Gelegen in Californië, in de wijnregio Sonoma Coast, werd SCV in 2011 opgericht door John en Barbara Drady samen met wijnmaker Anthony Austin. De wijngaarden liggen op slechts vijf mijl van de Stille Oceaan en profiteren van het koele klimaat van dit gebied ten westen van de Russian River Valley. Het bedrijf produceert uitstekende kwaliteit ambachtelijke wijnen voornamelijk op basis van Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, en Sauvignon Blanc druiven.

    De druiven voor de Gold Ridge Hills Chardonnay zijn afkomstig van de Petersen Vineyard en de Antonio Mountain Vineyard, gelegen in het westelijke deel van de Sonoma Coast. De bodem bestaat hier voornamelijk uit zandleem van de Goldridge serie, die ideaal is voor de teelt van Pinot Noir en Chardonnay.

    Deze Chardonnay is een karaktervolle wijn met aangename aroma's en een bleke citroengele kleur. De neus is boterachtig met zoete aroma's van tropisch fruit en kersenbloesem. In de mond is de wijn zacht en zijdeachtig met tonen van brioche en tropisch fruit die aangenaam terugkomen in de afdronk en een lichte minerale noot die complexiteit toevoegt. Het is een medium-bodied wijn die goed past bij wit vlees geserveerd met boterachtige sauzen of krab.
