    De familie Flam maakt al tientallen jaren wijn, maar pas in 1998 besloten de broers Golan en Gilad hun eigen wijnmakerij op te richten na een inspirerende reis naar Toscane. Hun vader, Israël Flam, was de eerste Israëliër die in de jaren 60 afstudeerde aan de wijnbouw- en oenologieschool van UC Davis, dus het was niet meer dan logisch dat zijn zonen in zijn voetsporen zouden treden, samen met zijn vrouw die de zakelijke kant van het bedrijf beheert.

    De Flam Blanc van de familie wordt gemaakt met Sauvignon Blanc en Chardonnay druiven afkomstig van de “Mata” en Givat Yeshayahu wijngaarden. Hier zorgt de hoogte ervoor dat de zomerdagen warm en zonnig zijn, gevolgd door koelere nachten die helpen om de aroma's en frisheid in de druiven te behouden.

    Wijnmaker Golan hanteert een lichte aanpak in de wijnmakerij en kiest ervoor om de wijn te gisten in roestvrijstalen tanks die zorgvuldig op temperatuur worden gehouden. In de neus zijn er verleidelijke aroma's van tropisch fruit, citroenschil en amandelbloesem, terwijl het gehemelte fris en levendig is met veel rijp steenfruit en gedroogde kruidentonen. Deze wijn is ideaal om zo als aperitief te drinken, maar past ook uitstekend bij verse zeevruchten, geroosterde kip of zomerse salades.
