    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Domaine Huet is een familiebedrijf met een rijke geschiedenis in het produceren van elegante en complexe Franse wijn. Opgericht door wijnmaker Victor Huet in 1928, wordt het wijnhuis nu gerund door zijn zoon Gaston. De 30 hectare Chenin Blanc die Gaston erfde, ligt in de Vouvray regio van de Loire Vallei en is de trots van het wijnhuis, dat groeit op een ondergrond van ondiepe, stenige bodems.

    De Clos du Bourg Sec is de droogste Chenin Blanc in het assortiment van Domaine Huet. De druiven zijn afkomstig van een kalksteenrijke wijngaard met dezelfde naam, die wordt beschouwd als een van de mooiste percelen in Vouvray. De neus leeft op met geuren van boomgaardvruchten, honing en Provençaalse kruiden. De Chenin Blanc wordt gefermenteerd in een combinatie van roestvrij staal en oude eikenhouten vaten, voordat hij 6 maanden rijpt.

    In de mond zijn er hartige tonen en een sappige zuurgraad, maar de algemene indruk is er een van elegantie, zuiverheid en traditie. Zoek naar tonen van appel, peer en abrikoos, aangevuld met hints van honingraat, kardemom, rozemarijn en steenachtige mineraliteit. Deze witte Loirewijn is klaar om op dronk te zijn, maar heeft ook veel potentieel om verder te rijpen in de kelder. Combineer hem met witte vis of pittige kazen.

    Domaine Huet is a family business with a rich history of producing elegant and complex French wine. The Clos du Bourg Sec is the driest Chenin Blanc in Domaine Huet’s range. The grapes were sourced from a limestone-rich vineyard of the same name, considered to be one of the finest plots of land in Vouvray. The nose is alive with scents of orchard fruits, honey, and Provencal herbs. There are savoury hints and a helping of juicy acidity on the palate, but the overall impression is one of elegance, purity and tradition. Look for notes of apple, pear and apricot, supplemented by hints of honeycomb, cardamom, rosemary, and stony minerality
