    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Gelegen in het wijngebied Stellenbosch, op de hellingen van de Helderberg, beslaat het landgoed Taaibosch, voorheen bekend als Cordoba, 59 hectare op een hoogte van ongeveer 300 meter boven zeeniveau. Hier genieten de wijngaarden van een unieke ligging en een frisse zeebries die de ideale omstandigheden creëert voor de teelt van Cabernet Franc, Merlot en Cabernet Sauvignon. De wijnstokken worden geteeld volgens praktijken die gericht zijn op duurzaamheid en de wijngaarden worden momenteel omgeschakeld naar biologische landbouw. In de kelder volgt wijnmaker Schalk-Willem Joubert een traditionele benadering van het wijnmaken.

    De Crescendo van Taaibosch is een blend met een meerderheid van Cabernet Franc, met toevoegingen van Merlot en Cabernet Sauvignon. De druiven worden geselecteerd van wijnstokken die ongeveer 20 jaar oud zijn. De afgewerkte wijn rijpt 12 maanden in Frans eiken, gevolgd door 1 jaar in foudres en cement.

    De wijn toont het geurige karakter van cabernet franc met aroma's van rode bessen, wilde aardbeien en bramen, gevolgd door aromatische kruiden, specerijen en zoete pepergeuren. In de mond is hij mager en harmonieus met een goede body en een elegante, frisse afdronk. Hij past perfect bij gegrild lamsvlees dat is gekruid met mediterrane kruiden.
