    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Gelegen in de Wairau Valley in Nieuw-Zeeland is Rapaura Springs een bekroond, jong wijnhuis. De eerste oogst dateert uit 2007, hoewel het landgoed in werkelijkheid in 1985 werd gekocht door de families Neylon en Wiffen, werd gebruikt als mechanische werkplaats en later in 2005 werd omgetoverd tot wijnmakerij. Vandaag de dag produceert het bedrijf verschillende lijnen wijnen op basis van Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio en Chardonnay.

    De Sauvignon Blanc druiven worden handmatig geselecteerd en geoogst van wijngaarden op kleiachtige bodems. Na de oogst worden de druiven zachtjes geperst en vervolgens laten ze de druiven ongeveer 12 uur weken op de schil. De gisting vindt plaats bij een gecontroleerde temperatuur in roestvrijstalen vaten om de aromatische intensiteit en frisheid van de druiven te behouden.

    De Rapaura Springs Sauvignon Blanc Blush heeft een heldere kleur met lichtroze tinten. In de neus onthult hij een geurig bouquet met tonen van verse bosbessen zoals framboos en aardbei en hints van steenfruit. In de mond is hij levendig en sappig, met een duidelijke zuurgraad en een uitstekende fruitconcentratie. De afdronk is verfrissend en dorstlessend. Hij is uitstekend geschikt als zomers aperitief bij visgebaseerde hapjes of bij gerookte zalm.
