Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Laat 10 jaar of langer in de koelkast staan. Decanteren is optioneel, maximaal 30 minuten voor het serveren.

    Dit is een medium-bodied Pinot Noir uit de Bourgogne, een verheven, zeer drinkbare wijn met geuren van braam, framboos, bosgrond, warme specerijen en kruidige garrigue hints. De wijn is prachtig dieppaars in het glas en is afkomstig van 8 verschillende Premier Cru wijngaarden, afkomstig van een netwerk van druiventelers - slechts een van de aspecten die Laurent Ponsot uniek maakt onder zijn collega's.

    Na bijna vier decennia bij Domaine Ponsot te hebben gewerkt, begon Laurent Ponsot in 2017 een nieuw bedrijf onder zijn eigen naam, met de hulp van zijn zoon Clémente. Het is verre van een traditioneel wijnhuis - hoewel Laurent Ponsot 7 hectare wijngaarden bezit in Meursault, speelt hij ook de rol van “negociant”, waarbij hij wijnen samenstelt van verschillende telers. Het wijnhuis wil avant-gardistische wijnen maken en gebruikt verpakkingen met baanbrekende technologie, waarmee het concept van “Haute Couture” wijn op het wereldtoneel wordt gebracht.

    Cuvée Du Noyer is levendig en puur in de mond, vol met smaken van rode bessen, frambozen, kerstkruiden, paddenstoelen en gedroogde kruiden. Hij omhult de tong met een stevige zuurgraad en de tannines zijn stevig, waardoor hij zich verder kan ontwikkelen in de kelder. Dit is een geweldige Bourgogne om te combineren met kalkoen, stoofpotten op basis van tomaten of een risotto met paddenstoelen.
